Pastoral Counseling series wanted for the Pneuma Review
The Pneuma Review Executive Editor is looking for an article/series that would be a practical how-to introduction to pastoral counseling. This could be either how-to start a counseling ministry or principles of effective counseling.
When psychology is mentioned, it should only be seen as valuable when it is in agreement with Scripture. In an absolute sense, only the Holy Spirit can bring about true change in people, and this should be an emphasis.
Regarding an emphasis on "deliverance ministry": References to deliverance ministry should be handled cautiously as not all readers agree with the concepts of inner healing, regression therapy, and formulaic approaches to exorcism. That is not even to mention the divergence of opinion on whether a true believer can be "demonized." Some, however, accept these concepts as "gospel truth." If or when these issues are discussed, you are welcome to offer your opinion while you offer a balanced approach.
The Pneuma Review would be interested in article(s) aimed for church leaders that are 2,000-4,500 words in length. If you were to present these articles as a series (i.e. more than 1 article), an overview of their content and intent is desired up front. You would be able to present the articles themselves at the agreed upon copy dates (every 3 months).
